Movie of the Moment
Another musical journey unfolded, beginning with spoken-word discussion led by Radio-V's Michael Gosney on "the power of community," with Burning Man founder Larry Harvey, Earthdance founder Chris Deckker, Cell Space founder Jonathon Youtt, Suzanne Sterling of Bhakti and Stessa Thompson of Global Retreats. The music followed the highly charged exchange, beginning with Bhakti's rootsy live feel, DJ Dragonfly's eclectic beats, and moving into the Birth of Spring Ritual, Native American ceremonial chants and dancers, to Medicine Drum's ethereal vocals and live drums, on to the final tribal freeform circle. Cell Space enjoyed the multimedia transformation, walls alive with banners, video collage and lasers. The art gallery and craft workshop added to the vibe with creative elements, and the upstairs area allowed relaxing space with pillows, healing tables and altars.
