Entering the Labyrinth of Chaos By Brian Wallace
Labyrinth of Chaos is, on one hand, the quintessential mystical adventure story of an individual who comes from a certain background - there are certain demographics that describe the protagonist. He sets out on an intellectual adventure to try to go out and expand his mind, to learn more about the world around him and learn more about himself through the course of those travels. On one hand, it is a historical overview of where we've come as a human species, mystical thought and philosophical thought in the past and on another hand, it's a look at contemporary issues and where we're headed in the future.
The protagonist is immersing himself in a variety of life challenges through the course of the book. He's also trying to have one hell of a good time. He's trying to enjoy himself; he's got some time on his hands, and some money to spend. That, to me, symbolizes a lot of what these theories hold to be true. You cannot just go out and seek out philosophical knowledge and do it stoically and academically. Part of it is experiencing life and enjoying yourself and enjoying the elements of humor and entertainment - love, sex, drugs, spiritual adventure - all of these are a part of the life experience.
So, if Labyrinth of Chaos is anything, it's a microcosm of what I would encourage readers to go out and do for themselves. It's an encouragement to go out and explore as much of life as possible and hopefully glean some insights and some higher consciousness along the way.

To what extent do you believe or think that this is a good book for me to read as an individual or a better book for me to read in the context of other readers and have dialogue about the reading?
Labyrinth of Chaos is a story that's unlike many books that are published today. There's not an intricate mystery, per say, that's occurring. There's not necessarily a significant plotline. It's very much a literary novel in that one character is setting out on a journey - it's an odyssey through one character's eyes.
I think that the book would be of interest to people who enjoy reading and being in their own world, so to speak, as they're enjoying a book and as they're reading a book. But also, I try to include enough information and have my character have enough experiences to where, if a group of people are concurrently or simultaneously reading the book, they can exchange information about various chapters and exchange information about various experiences that the character is having. That would hopefully stimulate dialogue, not just within an individual questioning his or her own beliefs, but among groups of people and within groups of people to really develop their awareness and understanding of various issues.
So, I would encourage the reader to spend as much time as they see fit on reading the book and spending time with the book on their own and then, if they know someone else who's reading the book, it would be interesting to get the feedback and see the exchange of information between two people that are both taking the journey of Alan Agrippa.
