We were honored to work with Patrick Flanagan,
Stephanie Sutton (aka OZ and Dorothy, our hosts) -
and a band of merry goddesses and wizards on this year's landmark Emerald City camp at 2:15 and Esplanade. It was epic!
Hugo Zucarelli's holophonic sound system, the brightest, most amazing emerald laser ever seen on the Playa,
incredible projections and a vibration that stayed high all week... On Thursday night, Joie Favier, Goz and Spook
got the spirit tuned. Friday night featured Fantuzzi and his flexible band, followed by Lost at Last (we put them
on the neighboring Lush camp stage) and from 12 on trance beats from Spook and Goz. On the night of the amazing Burn,
legendary British DJ Paul Gotel warmed us up with a pre-Burn groove, only to take it out with awesome beats after the
fireworks, flames and dust-angels had finished their show. Our Communal Dance had begun. At the stroke of midnight
Spook brought on the trance magic and lift-off began. Goz kept the starship flying from 2 to 4, followed by KJ, then
Rob Rayle into sunrise. DJ Matthew Freeth brought us smoothly into mid-Sunday with psychedelic ambient waves rolling
out across the now bright Playa.
Thanks to everyone - Randy, Joegh B, Brookes, Spook, Warren, John Graham, Swami G., Sun and Alan, and Carla for a
truly transformational dance experience! See
